Terms and Conditions

Cancellation terms

It happens, doesn't it? You decide to treat yourself to a massage and then some important life problem crops up to get in the way of your plans. I realise that this happens and so if you need to cancel or change your appointment, that's no problem. All I ask is that you give me more than 24hrs notice so that I can offer your appointment slot to someone else.

If you need to cancel at very short notice and I don't have time to book in another client, unfortunately I’ll need to charge 50% of the price of the treatment and if you aren’t in when I arrive for your appointment then I will need to charge the full price.

I do appreciate that sometimes there'll be exceptional circumstances (particularly when working with clients in late pregnancy!) and I’m very happy to be sympathetic to these - all I ask is that you give me a call as soon as you know you can’t make your appointment and we can have a chat about re-arranging.

do you have any general or pregnancy related health problems?

Massage during pregnancy is generally a safe and effective treatment. However, there are occasions when massage may not be suitable or it is advisable to get medical approval before having a treatment. Please Contact Me for more information on the safety aspects of antenatal and postnatal massage.

supporting your antenatal and postnatal care

Massage during and after pregnancy can be a great way of receiving extra support through this wonderful time. However, it should complement the care you are receiving from your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professional rather than in any way replace this – it is purely complementary support for your normal maternity care rather than an alternative.

If you are at all concerned about your health or pregnancy, then I do urge you to speak to your midwife, GP or other appropriate health care professional as soon as possible.

paid time off work for antenatal care

If your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professional has advised that massage would be beneficial to you during your pregnancy and you are currently working, you are entitled to paid time off to attend your appointment.

Please just let me know if you need confirmation of your appointment attendance for your employer when you make your booking.

your personal information

Please be assured that all your information will be kept strictly confidential. I take my obligations to you as your therapist very seriously and always work to industry standard codes of conduct, ethics and data protection.

I will ask you for details of the doctor, midwife or other healthcare professional who has primary responsibility for you during your pregnancy and also request your consent to contact them should I have any concerns about your health. If you are concerned about providing this consent, then please don’t hesitate to discuss this with me either when you make your appointment or during your initial consultation.

I’ll send you SMS text reminders in advance of your appointments and I’d also like to contact you from time to time with news and special offers. If your inbox is already brimming over and you’d prefer me not to, then that is absolutely fine, please just tick the box on your consultation form. If you have any questions at all about this, then please don't hesitate to ask me.
