I can offer the following services:
- Installing kitchen plumbing, including dishwashers and washing machines;
- Installing or moving bathroom suites and showers;
- Carrying out boiler repairs;
- Ensuring your hot water and cold water systems are functioning correctly;
- Clearing drains and gutters;
- Emergency plumbers can repair pipes, fix toilet flushing mechanisms, repair leaking stop taps, unblock sinks or baths, isolate leaking radiators, and make leaking tanks or cylinders safe;
- CORGI-registered plumbers and central heating engineers can install or fix central heating systems.
Helpful hints
- If you can't get a personal recommendation from a friend or relative, arrange for at least three plumbers to visit your home and discuss your plumbing job.
- Ensure that the plumber has insurance covering your own and your neighbours' properties.
- Ask the plumber if they are a member of the Institute of Plumbing (IoP).
- Ask if the plumber's work and any new parts are guaranteed.
- Ask for references from previous customers who have had similar jobs done, and follow them up.
- Make sure that all charges are included on a quote, such as call-out charges, the plumber's hourly rate of pay, and the cost of parts and equipment.
- Get a written contract from the plumber before the work commences.
- Keep the number of a good emergency plumber in a safe place, just in case you ever need it.
- For work on gas central heating systems or gas boiler repairs, use a CORGI-registered plumber or central heating engineer.
