Some of my Photography

Playing in the Studio & Photoshop

I don't often play in the studio, but have done in the past, while I was taking my Diploma in Professional Photography. I have been playing with Photoshop for a few years, and I try to get most of my photography perfect as I take it, but sometimes it's fun to play.

Landscapes

Landscapes are possibly my favourite type of photography, and I enjoy waiting for that perfect time when the Sun is setting, the light is just right. And also has the right foreground and background. It sounds easy, but getting it just right, really isn't. Maybe I'm getting pickier, the older and wiser I get.

Portraits

I love taking photo's of my Kids, as they are growing up. Some come out really well, and others are just snaps. They are obviously more personal to me, but some I feel are very good. Of course, this is an area where I will constantly update as my kids grow, and we can all look back on them later in life.

Sunsets & Seascapes

This is by far my favourite type of photography, and I really don't get out far enough. I would love to have more time in life to take this sort of photography and travel to all sorts of locations around the World. If you are a Photographer, and have done this type of work, don't ruin my illusion.

Reflections

I try to include Reflections in my work, or even Shadows. I like the way it makes the image more unique and interesting. It reminds me of an image by Salvadore Dali, with Swans, that reflect Elephants in the water. Click to see some more of my work below, and see a few examples.

I like to take Photo's of anything, but as you can see, from the following, I tend to favour the Refections, and Landscapes.
I must get out more..!

One of my Favourites

This was one of those evenings down by Newtown Creek, on the Isle of Wight. Sun was setting, the tide was just right, and the light was perfect. Hardly any wind making ripples on the water, but I did make it a little longer on the exposure.

I have been back a few times to Newtown Creek, and not once has it been the same scenario.
